About Ken Lake
Tucked away in the heart of West Olympia, the Lakemoor Community at Ken Lake is not your average subdivision.
Originally an Urban Forest Area, we still enjoy a quiet, sylvan community. Surrounded by woods and organized around a private, natural lake, it can be easy to forget that all the urban amenities of West Oly are waiting just around the corner.
Unlike your average suburban neighborhood, we come together several times each year for various events, such as the annual Fishing Derby and the 4th of July parade and picnic.
The Lakemoor Community at Ken Lake is a diverse, secure neighborhood which cherishes the volunteer spirit. We may come from different places and have different backgrounds, but we all share in a love of nature.
The Parks
- From baseball to boating, our parks have it all! Ken Lake boasts four private recreation areas incuding a newly repaved tennis court, basketball court, two areas with convenient lake access, and one park just for the little ones. Our 22 acre Urban Forest and dog park make sure there is something for everyone!
The Lake
- This bijou neighborhood of less than 300 single family homes is named for the natural lake it surrounds. Ken Lake is perfect for swimming and boating in the summer and fishing year round. With new docks on the lake, summer at the lake just keeps getting better.
Our Community
Security
“Ken Lake Security has served the residents of Ken Lake since May 2005. It is my goal to keep Ken Lake a great place to live and play. It is my duty to see that the residents of Ken Lake are as secure and safe as possible. It is my responsibility to enforce the rules and regulations set by the Lakemoor Community Board." - Ralph Oliver, Ken Lake Security
As part of the special focus on enforcing community rules, compliance checks are conducted in recreation areas during the high use periods. Ken Lake Security also monitors vehicle speeds year round to help keep our residents safe.
Ken Lake Security is not a 24-hour service, although security patrols are day and night. To provide a high level of security when Ken Lake Security is not available, a close association has been developed between Ken Lake Security and the Olympia Police Department.”
